Nancy (Bice) Button, 85 yrs. old of New Berlin, NY passed away on December 12, 2023, in Norwich, NY.

Nancy was born on September 19, 1938, in the town of Brookfield, NY the daughter of Melvin and Mabel (Greenman) Bice.  Her childhood was spent on the family farm in South Brookfield and West Edmeston, NY.  She attended Brookfield Central School and was a graduate of New Berlin Central School. 

In addition to her work on the family farm, Nancy was employed by the Carl Payne Insurance Agency, Independent Lock Co of Fitchburg, MA, and Preferred Mutual Insurance Company.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Edmeston, the Home Bureau Federation of Madison County, the Brookfield Homesteaders Home Bureau, and the Coffee League of the Bridgewater Bowling Center.  She loved her family and friends and enjoyed traveling.  She especially enjoyed her trip to Ireland.

On December 29, 1956, she married Richard B. Button who predeceased her on August 4, 2020.  She was also predeceased by her brothers, Ronald and Roger Bice and sister June Morey.

She is survived by her children; Mark (Bonnie) Button of Hubbardsville, Edward Button of West Edmeston, Jeffrey Button of North Brookfield, Timothy (Colleen) Button of West Edmeston and Sue Button of Oxford, her brother, Raymond Bice, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, NY with Pastor Len Tyler officiating.  Calling hours will be held from 12:00-1:00 PM prior to the funeral service.

The interment will be in the West Edmeston Cemetery.
