Christine Frances (Nelson) Stephenson passed away at age 72 on June 5, 2021 in Oneonta, New York.

Christine was born May 24, 1949 in New Berlin, New York, the daughter of Raymond Nelson and Maude (Bingham) Nelson. Her childhood was spent in New Berlin. She is a graduate of New Berlin Central High School. 
Christine was skilled in the visual arts, and she enjoyed American history, particularly the history of upstate New York. She was an avid reader and letter writer. Christine enjoyed baking sweet and savory creations with an eye for classic and vintage recipes. She is remembered for her creativity, wit, sense of humor, and generosity to her family.

Christine was an avid viewer of PBS programs, especially Antiques Roadshow.

She was member of Columbus Community Church in Columbus, New York.

Christine is survived by her son Franklin Lewis Stephenson (Monique Williams), her former husband Franklin T. (Teresa) Stephenson, her siblings Signe Nelson (Frederic Razafindrainibe), Robert (Rebecca) Nelson, Susan (Donn) Parry, cousins Judy Graves, Nelson Graves, Ingrid Hickman, Howard Hickman, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held later this year.
