James L. Powers, 86 yrs. old of Unadilla, NY passed away on February 13, 2020 at Wilson Hospital, Binghamton, NY.

James was born on June 23, 1933 in White Store, NY the son of Horatio & Audrey (Law) Powers.  He attended South New Berlin Central School and worked at local area farms and the O&W Railroad.  Later, he was employed by and retired from Scintilla in Sidney, NY.

He was a very loving, kind and wonderful man to all of his relatives, friends and all people he had the pleasure to meet.  He will be sadly missed beyond words.

James is survived by his daughters; Sue & Dale Foster and Beth Cusick and son; Frankie Dunshee, grandchildren; James Chapman, Felicia Smith, great grandchildren; Jayda Chapman, Parker Chapman and Layne Macdermott,  sisters; Barbara (Dick) VanderBunt and Donna (Dan) Anderson as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his wife, Blanche Powers in 2019, brothers; Raymond, Donald, Glenn & Edward, sister; Shirley and stepson, Star Aldrich.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 1:00 PM at the home of James & Blanche Powers, 614 State Highway 17, Unadilla, NY.
