Carole A Rogers 1941-2020
“just a closer walk with Thee”
Carole A Rogers completed her mission on this earth December 12, 2020. She now begins the promised journey through paradise with her Lord and Savior and will forever be in his stead.
Carole was born in Oneonta NY 12/15/1941 to John and Mona (Delberta) Leonard. One of six children she always treasured the essence of family. Oneonta was a large part of that family. Carole relocated to South Edmeston NY where she was a homemaker and hair dresser for many years. Carole enjoyed bowling, sewing, crafts, cooking, traveling and camping. Her focus was always family and faith. She was very involved in her church, the community, fellowship, history, and traditions of the area she called home.
Carole is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, William Rogers, her brother Joseph Leonard, sister Jean Emmett, and her children Bradley and Theodore Canfield, Michele, Colleen and Billy Rogers, and Wendy Heineman. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren all of whom she adored and loved dearly. Carole leaves behind an extended family of very dear friends much too numerous to list, trust how precious to her you were.
Carole will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and confidant. At the request of the family there will be no public service. There will be a private family memorial gathering at a later time. Please remember Carole by calling a family member or loved one today and telling them how much you love them. The family would be greatly appreciative of words of solace sent to the website of Dakin Funeral Home in New Berlin NY to help them in this time of grievance. Thank you and may God bless you all. Amen

Dear Bill and Family, I’m not sure where to start. Carole was such a wonderful person. I felt more like a sister than a cousin. We always had so much fun and laughter together. If it was just getting together for tea, or shopping. Then of course Word of Life. We always just had the best times together. My heart aches. I am glad though that she is free of pain and suffering. God definitely has another angel. Bill take care of your self you were truly the love of her life
