Lee Due (Junior) Jaquay 90 yrs. old of New Berlin, NY passed away on April 27, 2018 at the Chase Memorial Nursing Home, New Berlin.
He was born on April 29, 1927 in Poolville, NY son of Lee Due and Ceila Doyle Jaquay. His childhood was spent on Shawler Brook Road in Columbus, NY. He attended Sherburne Central School and later served in the United States Navy during World War II.
When he returned home, Lee Due married Irene Ray on April 16, 1949.
Besides his wife, Lee Due is survived by his children; Linda (Tom) Eriksen of Edmeston, Ed (Shirley) Jaquay of Hudsonville, MI, Judy (Jamie) Robinson of New Berlin, and Bruce (Sharon) Jaquay of New Berlin. He was predeceased by one daughter, Donna Jaquay.
His grandchildren are Chad (Jennifer) Goodier, Jennelle (Kory) Rozema, Jill (Joel) Hoving, Jerica (Art) Keoseyan, Lexi (Todd) Wilcox, Jacqueline (Kyle) Jaquay, Braden (Emilee) Jaquay and 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Caroline Horton and was predeceased by five brothers and six sisters.
Lee Due worked as a mechanic for the Coman Brothers Garage in South Edmeston for many years and later worked as a mechanic at Cossitt Concrete in Randallsville where he retired in 1989. He was a member of the American Legion Post 876 of Sherburne and a member of the Second Baptist Church in Edmeston.
Lee Due loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them sharing his beautiful flowers and his pleasure of hunting and fishing.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dakin Funeral Home LP New Berlin with Pastor Jay Henderson of the Burlington Flats Baptist Church officiating. Calling hours will take place at the Dakin Funeral Home LP in New Berlin on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
