As a child I remember spending happy moments at the Brooks Farm. I particularly looked up to Kay who was older than me and enjoyed dressing me up in old Victorian clothes. Dave was closer to my age and I am so sorry to learn of his passing. I just turned 70 myself. I have planned a family reunion at Chenango Lake in July and hope to connect my own children and grandchildren with the beauty of the area. I send my condolences to all of you - it so very hard to lose someone you love. Suzanne

“And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4) The pain caused by the loss of someone we love is enduring, but God promises in his word the Bible that in the near future his kingdom will bring about lasting changes on the earth. A few of those changes are mentioned in the scripture above, death, outcry, and pain will be no more. Not only will God destroy death, he will remove the pain that it causes. “There is going to be a resurrection.” (Acts 24:5) Those who have fallen asleep will be brought back to life, they will have the opportunity of living forever in paradise on earth, no one will ever get sick and die again. May this hope comfort you during this difficult time, I am so sorry for your loss.
