Zeland F. Boice, "Zeke," of Bainbridge NY, formerly of Sherburne NY. passed away on May 5, 2026. Born on October 2, 1967, in Fort Hood, Texas.
A graduate of New Berlin High School, class of 1985, Zeland pursued a career with Unison in Norwich, New York, until he became disabled. Throughout his life, he was known for his great sense of humor, capable of bringing laughter to those around him with ease. He was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including playing Words with Friends, poker, fishing, hunting, and attending dirt track races. A musician at heart, he loved music and played the drums, sharing his passion with family and friends.
Zeke treasured time spent with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren. His fondness for family gatherings and shared experiences left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted children: India Stone, Jessica Pierce (and Joe), Morgan Edmonds (and Charlie), Corey Boice, and Matthew Halbert. He also leaves behind a cherished collection of grandchildren: Elizabeth, Dominick, Emmaleigh, Samuel, Madilynn, and Chucky. Additionally, Zeland is survived by his sister, Teri Wright (and Don), along with aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Zeland was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene Conkey; his father, Zeland S. Boice; and two grandchildren, Paige Edmonds and Jonathon Edmonds.
Calling Hours to honor Zeke's life will be held on May 14, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Dakin Funeral Home, located at 17 N Main St, New Berlin, NY 13411. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
