Edith May Winton 95 yrs. old, residing with her daughter Peggy & Harold Allen of Sherburne NY passed away on June 20, 2015 after a long illness of cancer.
She was born on November 27, 1919 in the town of Earlville, NY the daughter of Earl & Minnie Cooper.
She married Raymond B. Winton on June 27, 1936 in the Town of Pittsfield.
Edith was a local dairy farmer, a Foster Care Provider for Chenango County and Family Care Provider for Broome Developmental for 41 years.
She loved camping, boating, fishing, riding her 4 wheeler, and traveling out of state.
Edith is survived by 4 sons; Jack & Kay Winton of Columbus, NY, Laverne & Teresa Winton and Norman & Janie Winton of Sherburne, NY and Laurence & Peggy Winton of Earlville, NY, 4 daughters; Evah & Arthur Peek of New Berlin, NY, Linda & Woodard Abbott of Earlville, NY, Gail & Robert Endress of Franklinton, NC, Peggy & Harold Allen of Sherburne, NY, daughter-in-law; Linda (Frances) Winton of New Berlin, NY, a sister; Helen Parrish of Jacksonville, FL, 33 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Raymond, 4 sons; Lewis, Raymond, David & Frances and a brother; Raymond Cooper.
Calling hours followed by a memorial service will be Wednesday June 24, 2015 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Whitney House, Columbus, NY with the interment to be held in the Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin officiated by Reverend Stephen Reese.
