Wendie S. Hutchings, 50, of New Berlin, passed away on April 3, 2012 at her home.
Wendie was born on Sept. 27, 1961 in Chicago, the daughter of Donald & Carol (Schleifer) Hutchings. Her childhood was spent in Bergen County, N.J. She attended Fairleigh Dickenson University in Teaneck, N.J. and was later employed by Norwich Eaton Pharmaceuticals as a microbiologist.
She is survived by her life partner,; John Saxe of New Berlin; her father, Donald Hutchings of Harrington Park, N.J.; a brother; Keith Hutchings of Coolbellup, Australia and a sister; Linda Hutchings of Philadelphia, Pa.
Wendie was a member of the American Society of Microbiologists and the American Cancer Society. She loved her cats and enjoyed cooking, music and hiking in the Adirondacks.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Dakin Funeral Home LP.
