Virginia Jean Barrows Barker, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on January 22, 2026. Born on January 23, 1940 in Lisle, NY, Virginia was the beloved daughter of Alberta and Clarence Barrows. She was a lifelong learner, attending the Delaware Literary Institute in Franklin, NY before earning a bachelor's degree in Theology from the University of Biblical Studies and Seminary.

Throughout her career, Virginia made significant contributions to her community as both a telephone operator and a child daycare operator. Her commitment to service was further exemplified by her involvement in Berean Baptist Church in New Berlin, NY, where she nurtured her faith and the faith of others.

On November 22, 1965, Virginia married her loving husband, Francis Keith Barker. Virginia’s legacy includes her three loving children: Bonnie (Roig) Konitshek, Connie (Marc) Funaro, and Keith (Deborah) Barker. She also took immense pride in her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Virginia leaves behind her siblings: George, Clarence, David, Kathy, Richard, Clifford, and Patricia, along with numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom remember her with fondness and love. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis, her parents, Alberta and Clarence Barrows, and her sister, Roberta Makey.

A life devoted to family, faith, and community, Virginia Jean Barrows Barker will be remembered for her unwavering love and compassion. Her remarkable spirit and dedication to those she cherished will continue to inspire all who knew her. A celebration of life honoring Virginia will be announced at a later date.
