Jeffery Maxson

Jeffery Maxson, affectionately known as "Yogie," passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 59. He was born on January 31, 1966. Jeffery's life was filled with love and devotion, especially as a husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife, Crystal Maxson, whom he married on September 8, 2018. Together, they created a vibrant family environment that enriched the lives of all around them.

Jeffery is remembered for his warmth and affection towards his son, Justin Maxson, as well as his role as a devoted stepfather to Amy (Tony) Fowlston, Shawn (Melissa) Fowlston, and Frank Fowlston. His legacy continues through his cherished step-grandchildren: Alexis, Chyenne, Aiden, Tristen, Alyiah, Angel, Dominic, Zachary, Tre, Cayden, and Skylar. Jeffery took pride in his large extended family, which includes his siblings Robin Wright, Judy (Dan) Rogers, and Jackie (Travis) Ray, along with an extensive network of 20 nephews and 29 nieces.

While Jeffery found great joy in his life with his family, he also endured profound loss. He was preceded in death by his son, Shawn Maxson; his daughter, Kelly Maxson; his mother, Evelyn; his father, Frederick; and his sister, Jennifer Maxson. These losses shaped him and fostered a deep appreciation for the time spent with loved ones.

Jeffery's presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Calling hours will be held at Dakin Funeral Home in New Berlin, NY, on July 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. After this, he will be laid to rest during a graveside service at Sherburne West Hill Cemetery in Sherburne, NY.
