Harry Morgan, born on August 6, 1944, in Johnson City, NY, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025 at his home in Jacksonville, FL. He led a fulfilling and impactful life, marked by a commitment to family, service, and career.
Harry began his educational journey at South New Berlin Central School, graduating in 1962. Following high school, he honorably served in the United States Navy, completing his service in 1969. His time in the military instilled in him a strong sense of duty and responsibility that he carried into his civilian career.
Harry worked diligently for the phone company, leaving a legacy of professionalism in various locations, including Norwich, NY; Richmond, VA; Tampa, FL; and Sayre, PA. He eventually retired in Jacksonville, FL, where he enjoyed the fruits of his labor and the company of family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Janet Morgan; his children, Michael (Valerie) Morgan of Jacksonville, FL, and Kevin (Heather) Morgan of New Berlin, NY; his grandchildren, Alexander Morgan and Ashley (Josh) Morgan; and his great-granddaughter, Abigail Morgan. Additionally, he leaves behind his sister-in-law, Sally Lyon of Moulton Borough, NH, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins who cherished him greatly.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert I. Morgan and Ina Marie Morgan (Gates), who provided him with a loving foundation throughout his life.
The memories of Harry Morgan will resonate in the hearts of many, reflecting his dedication to his family and his contributions to his community. He will be remembered for his warm spirit, unwavering love, and the mark he left in the lives of those who knew him.
