Evelyn Maxson

Evelyn Maxson, a beloved mother and a vibrant presence in the lives of her family and community, passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on October 11, 1943, Evelyn was known for her happy spirit as well as her warmth and kindness. She dedicated many years of her life to a family-owned venture, Maxson Sanitation, where her work contributed significantly to the well-being of her community.

Evelyn was a strong and happy woman, embracing life with enthusiasm. She found joy in simple pleasures, often engaging in bingo and card games with her family, creating cherished memories around the table. She enjoyed watching her favorite television shows, including Deal or No Deal, Walker Texas Ranger, and Touched by an Angel.

Her legacy extends through her surviving children: Robin Wright, Judy (Dan) Rogers, and Jackie (Travis) Ray. Evelyn was also the proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren, who brought her immense joy, as well as 29 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Maxson, who passed away in 2013. She also mourned the loss of her children, Jennifer and Jeffery Maxson, along with grandchildren Kelly Maxson, Malcom Johnson, and Shawn Maxson, and two great-grandchildren.

The community is invited to celebrate her life during calling hours on July 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at Dakin Funeral Home, located at 17 N Main St, New Berlin, NY.

Evelyn Maxson’s loving nature, resilience, and dedication to her family will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a profound legacy of love and devotion that will continue to inspire future generations.
