Susan Canney

Susan P. Canney, 80 yrs. old of New Berlin, NY passed away on May 2, 2020 at her home.

Susan was born on August 26, 1939 in Marshall, TX the daughter of George & Marjorie (Waters) Peekham.  Her childhood as spent in Hudson Falls, NY, St. Louis, MO and South Hadley, MA where she was a graduate of the South Hadley High School.  She was employed as an English and history teach at Ledlow MA High School.

Susan is survived by her children; Martin & Christiana Decker of New Berlin, NY and Katherine Deflumere & Edward Larson of Mt. Upton, NY as well as grandchildren; Jennifer Nichols, Cynthia Guerrette, Joseph Manard, Cori Deflumere, Emily Canney, Jacob Canney & Johnathan Canney and 8 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one child, Caren Canney in 1978.

Susan enjoyed reading, knitting, cats, genealogy and spending time with her family.

A celebration of life will be held at the First United Methodist Church, New Berlin with Pastor Penny Harrington officiating at a later date.
