Bruce Ray

Bruce Ray, a beloved figure known for his protective nature and vibrant spirit, passed away on April 6, 2026. Born on April 7, 1972, in Norwich, NY, Bruce’s life was a testament to his boundless energy and his deep devotion to family and friends.

Bruce was truly a jack of all trades, a man who could skillfully navigate many roles with equal passion and competence. Whether he was embarking on camping adventures, spending serene days out on his boat, or working at his contracting business, Bruce embraced life with enthusiasm and a zest that invigorated those around him. He was the life of the party, a source of laughter and joy, always ready to lift the spirits of anyone fortunate enough to be in his company.

Above all, Bruce was a fiercely loving and protective family man. His profound dedication to his loved ones shaped his world and left a mark on everyone he encountered. He is survived by his devoted parents, Erma and Dan Ray; his sons, David (Sarina), Bruce, and Andrew; as well as his siblings Kitty, Danny, Cindy, and Karen. Bruce’s legacy extends through his many nieces and nephews and is embodied in his cherished grandchildren Jacob, London, and Nellie.

Though Bruce’s heart was full of love for those still with us, he also carried the memories of those dear to him who have passed before him, including his nephew Scotty Ray, grandparents Nettie and Bruce Harshburger, and several uncles. Their memory lived on in Bruce’s stories and in the strength he drew from them.

Bruce Ray’s life was rich with love, laughter, and adventure, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him. As we remember him, we celebrate a man who gave so much of himself to others and who loved with an openness and intensity that inspired all. His legacy of care, protection, and joyous living will continue to resonate within his family and community for generations to come.

There will be a Celebration of Life held in Bruce's honor on April 25th, 2026 at 12:00pm at Bruce's son and daughter-in law's home: 8579 South Hamilton Rd, Earlville, NY 13332.
