Kenneth Brown (Ken, Skimmer, Poppy), 84 yrs. old of New Berlin, NY passed away on May 3, 2022 in Norwich, NY.

Ken was born on June 26, 1937 in Pitcher, NY the son of Lynn and Velma Brown. In 1955 he enlisted in the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1957.  He was employed by Amphenol Corporation in Sidney for 42 years, retiring in 1999.

On September 13, 1958 he married Lillian Beadle who was the love of his life.  She predeceased him in 2005.

With his wife, Ken grew a very loving family, PJ (Deb) Brown, Tina (Kevin) Wilson, Dale Sr. (Shelly) Brown, and Sue (Kevin) Tomsic.  Along with his children, he was blessed with many grandchildren; Dale Brown (Bree) & Curt Brown (Rebecca), Jason (Beckie) Barker, Kari (Dan) Mabie, Chad (Jessica) Brown, Lindsey (Mark) Ross, Corey (Jackie) Brown, Brooke Brown (Levi Rifanburg) TJ Tomsic, Troy Tomsic (Mackenzie DelVecchio), Lance Jennings and Mikiya (Matt) Chamberlain as well as 15 great grandchildren  He is also survived by his brother Larry (Sally) Brown, sister Betty Cruikshank, sisters-in-law; Shirley, Helen and Bettie Brown, Jennie Carpenter, Betty Stone and Doris Smeltzer as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife Lillian, Ken was predeceased by his granddaughter, Katie Jennings in 2012, his brothers; Rich Brown, Leonard (Cork) Brown, Donald (Tink) Brown, Marlin (Chub) Brown, Gordon (Jack) Brown, his sisters; Norma (Sid) Benjamin and infant sister, Shirley.

Ken impacted more lives than he could ever know.  His loving personality to his family and friends, his infectious laugh, and stories of his childhood in the Cincinnatus and Pitcher areas were enjoyed by many.

Per Ken’s request, no formal services will be held however there will be a celebration of his life on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 6:00 PM at the South New Berlin Fire House.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Chenango County or the South New Berlin Fire Department.
