Dana Marie (Johnsen) Eaves, 52 yrs. old of Pittsfield NY, passed away on January 7, 2022 at her home.
Dana was born on August 14, 1969 in Norwich, NY the daughter of Warren & Barbara Johnsen. Her childhood was spent in New Berlin. She was a graduate of New Berlin Central School and attended SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Oneonta and Cortland College. She was employed as a kindergarten teacher for Sherburne Earlville Elementary School.
She is survived by her parents Warren & Barbara, her sons; Brenden Eaves who is currently serving in the US Navy and Preston Eaves of Pittsfield, NY, her fiancé, Jeff Williams and his five children, her grandmother, Betty H. Miller of Oxford and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her Aunt Jean, paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
Dana was a warm, beautiful woman who was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a very special Mom who loved her boys more than words could say. She was the daughter that made her parents beyond proud of everything she accomplished in life, especially as a mother and educator. She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her family and fiancé. Fly high sweet Dana.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 1:00-5:00 PM at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, NY.

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Dana, we have many fond memories camping with her and her boys, I will always remember Preston and his rubber boots that he never wanted to take off. Anytime I saw Dana she would tell me how much she loved a pair of pink hippo crocks my daughter wore camping and how she wanted a pair. Her smile was radiant and contagious. Such a kind and honest woman. I still can't believe that Mrs.Eaves is gone. Having her be a mentor not only to me and my friends but also my siblings and family members. Never ever had any negative remarks or anything bad said about her. It's not going to get any easier ... Somehow we find ourselves just holding on a little stronger and the pain becomes more manageable but it never fades. To Brenden and Preston I couldn't imagine the emptiness that fills your hearts rn.
