Rhonda Lea Cross, born to John and Darlene Cross on January 27, 1963 in Sidney, NY, passed away on November 2, 2016 at the Mary Imogene Hospital in Cooperstown, NY.
Rhonda spent her childhood in the New Berlin area with her family, friends, neighbors and classmates. Most of her adult life she called Upstate New York her home. She also lived in Texas and West Virginia. She was a dedicated care provider, caring for patients in nursing homes and in home care. Recently calling West Virginia her home away from home, she cared for Alzheimer’s patients as well.
Rhonda is survived by many, most notably her Daughter Holli, Grandchildren Carter and Brealynn, future Son-In-Law Randall, her Father John and devoted, caring and most loving Mother Darlene, Siblings Brent, Shari and Aaron, Brother-In-Law Ed and Sister-In-Law Kelly, Theresa, girlfriend to Brent, Nieces and Nephews Valerie, Eric, Megan, Dana, Adrienne, Mark, Jennifer and Chad, Kyle and McKenzie, Great Nieces and Nephews, Aiden, Nora, Madison, Aidan and soon to arrive, Levi. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as remembered by her West Virginia family, the McKinney’s.
Viewing hours will be held at the Smyrna Baptist Church, Smyrna, NY, from 11am-1pm on November, 19th with funeral services immediately following and officiated by Pastor Tim Button, Sr. All are welcome to join us after for a reflection gathering and farewell meal.
