Harmon L. Newell Jr, 84 yrs. old of Norwich, NY passed away on February 10, 2017 at the Norwich Rehabilitation Center, Norwich, NY.
Harmon was born on February 22, 1932 in New Berlin, NY the son of Harmon L. Newell Sr. and Mary (Davis) Newell.
Harmon spent much of his life working with his father on the family farm and the last 20 years of his working life, driving feed truck for the I.L. Richer Feed Co. in Norwich. He enjoyed steam trains, old cars and traveling and loved life and laughter.
He is survived by his daughters; Deb Darling of Concord, NC, Denise Wobig of Canandaigua, NY, Doreen St. Charles of Salisbury, NC and Cindy Jipson of Norwich and sons; Duane Newell of Mocksville, NC and Jody Newell of Norwich. He is also survived by his brothers; William Newell of Gilbertsville and Donald & Richard Newell both of Norwich.
He was predeceased by his wife; Anita (Graves) Newell in 1992 and his brother, Bert Blackman.
A graveside service will be held in the spring. |
