David Arnold Maxson, 77 yrs. old of South New Berlin, NY
passed away on February 12, 2017 in Norwich, NY.

David was born on October 29, 1939 in West Edmeston, NY the son of Arnold Maxson & Sarah (Larrabee) Maxson.  His childhood was spent in Waterville, NY.  He was a graduate of Waterville Central School. 

David served in the US Army from 1961-1964 and was later employed by Unison of Norwich, NY.  He was a member of the South New Berlin Fire Department.  He loved his job and especially his grandchildren and enjoyed racing and coin collecting.

On August 18, 1973 he married Jean (Kuhn) Maxson who predeceased him on December 11, 2015.

David is survived by his children; Janice & Jimmy Simpson of Nyssa, OR., Darell & Jennifer Sweet of Rogers, MN., and Donald & Wendy Kuhn of South New Berlin, NY, grandchildren; Tyler & Justin Simpson, Tristan, Mason & Ella Sweet, Todd, Brittany (Yorker), Brandon & Brooke Kuhn, siblings; Ann Turner, Joyce Ray & Arnold Maxson as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 5:00 PM at the Dakin Funeral Home LP with Reverend Larry Maxson officiating.  Calling hours will be held from 3:00-5:00 PM prior to the funeral service. 

The interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery, South New Berlin, NY.
