Angelo J. Sosa, 74 years old of the Town of Pittsfield passed away on March 2, 2015 at his home.

He was born on March 22, 1940 in Manhattan, New York the son of Angel Louis and Louisa (Olmeda) Sosa. He spent his childhood in New York City where he attended Samuel Gompers High School in Bronx, NY.

He worked as an Offset Pressman for Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, New Jersey. He was a member of the Supporters of P.O.W. in Morris, NY.
On June 12, 1971 he married Annette A Sosa who survives. He is also survived by his children, Pam and Michael Durant of Fort Lauderdale, FL., Donna and Rich Turner, New Berlin, NY and Angelo Sosa Jr. and his wife Cynd of Wake Forest, NC, sisters Miriam Ortiz, Gladys Fonseca and brother Eddie Sosa.

He will be remembered as a caring and loving husband, father and grandfather to his wife, children and grandchildren who called him “Dad” and “Poppop”. He was loved by many who knew him and they often called him “the man with a giving soul.”

A memorial service will be held on Friday March 6th at 4:00 PM at the Dakin Funeral Home LP in New Berlin with Father Lester Smith officiating.
