Walter H. Loomis,
63 yrs old of Columbus, NY

Passed away October 24, 2013 at MIB Hospital in Cooperstown, NY.

Walter was born on July 6, 1950 in New Berlin, NY , the son of Walter Sr. and Neva (Ray) Loomis.

On March 30, 1974 he married Sharlene Fairchild who survives. His childhood was spent in Richfield Springs area and attended local schools. He was a machinist for Automecha in Oxford, NY and was an Associate Member of the Red Knights NY Chapter 40.

Walter is survived by his three children: Shawn and Christina Loomis of Columbus, Sara Loomis and Jeffery Wilson of Columbus and Tina and Larry Sullivan of South Edmeston, one brother, Leo Loomis of New Hampshire, two sisters, Charlotte Boepple and Elaine Matthews, both of Richfield Springs, NY.

Graveside services will at the Twilight Rest Cemetery on Monday October 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jeff McLallen officiating. There will be no calling hours.

 A gathering in memory of Walter will be held at the New Berlin Fire House on October 27, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.   Memorials gifts may be made to the New Berlin Fire Department.
